"A supremely confident piece of filmmaking that negotiates the tricky terrain of non-typical sexualities with sensitivity, humour and a refreshing lightness of touch." - Wendy Ide, Screen International

"Stirring and moving at every turn." - Alissa Wilkinson, Vox

"A beautiful, romantic film." - Drew Gregory, Autostraddle

When dance instructor Elena meets sign language interpreter Dovydas when he is assigned to interpret a class she is teaching to Deaf youth, their chemistry is immediate. As they get to know one another and the relationship hints at romance, Dovydas makes a confession: he is asexual. Determined to make their relationship work despite differing individual needs, the couple navigates compromise, romance, and sacrifice in order to find a shared definition of intimacy. Winner of a directing award at the Sundance Film Festival, SLOW is a stunning and singular exploration of love. Film Center exclusive.
